75-ball bingo explained

When embarking on a game of 75-ball bingo, the player is issued with a playing card that features a total of 25 squares; these squares are arranged in a pattern of five vertical rows and also five horizontal rows. Each square contains one number; the card also houses a blank centre square. The centre square is often labelled as the ‘Free Space’ or alternatively it is marked with an ‘X’. This free space does however count as a number.

The word BINGO is situated above the vertical rows and has been spelled out in order for players to find the number on their ticket. The vertical column below the letter "B" houses the numbers between 1 and 15, 16-30 appear in the "I" column, 31-45 are showcased in the "N" column, 46-60 in the "G" column, and every number between 61 and 75 are featured in the vertical column, which is labelled ‘O’. Experienced players will have these numbers memorised by heart, however this feature is a great option for new players and will help them to not lose track of the numbers called.

In order to win bingo, the game is usually played out until one player marks off five numbers in a row on his or her ticket, however, with more recent versions of the game if you visit new bingo sites, players can claim bingo by marking off patterns of numbers. These patterns can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal in shape and punters are also allowed to count the "free space" square as a number. Depending on which type of game you choose to play determines how the numbers are marked off the playing cards. This is usually done either using a pen or investing in the help of a computer, which houses the software that can mark off the numbers for them.

Blackout, Coverall, Outside Frame and the Diamond are just a few of the winning combinations that can be achieved in 75-Ball Online Bingo.
